Canon EOS M50 Mark II released: Not too many upgrades
The EOS M50 Mark II is a slight upgrade after two years of the launch of Canon's mid-range mirrorless line of cameras.
The EOS M50 Mark II now has eye focus built-in for both shooting and video recording. When combined with Dual Pixel technology, the device is able to detect subject movement, lock focus faster and more accurately than its predecessor.
Next is the option to record portrait video. Currently, many social networks such as Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram require vertical video to match the user interface. Thus, users can quickly record and use video from this compact mirrorless camera.
A few other small changes can be listed such as: adding video recording button, timer button, using the camera to focus in parallel with the EVF, webcam mode and streaming video directly to YouTube.
In terms of configuration, the machine is equipped with 24.1MP APS-C crop sensor, compatible with EF-M mount lens system. The device can record 4K video 24fps (crop frame 1.5x) or Full-HD with full features Dual Pixel focus as well as higher fps.
The Canon EOS M50 Mark II will be priced at $ 600 or $ 700 if the EF-M 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 lens is included.
